Transforming Students Through Two Literacies: The Integration of Sustainability Literacy into Information Literacy Classes
Abstract
The adoption of sustainable practices by colleges and universities continues to grow, with over 600 presidents and leaders in higher education signing the Presidents' Climate Commitment. As part of this commitment, campuses recognize the importance of integrating sustainability literacy across the curriculum. Auburn University, like many other universities committed to sustainability, has worked to integrate the topic into the curriculum. Librarians from Auburn University share specific examples of how they have supported their institution by incorporating sustainability literacy into information literacy sessions.
