While considerable resources and staff time are dedicated to supporting Freshman Year Experience courses, traditional library orientation sessions frequently fail to engage students. To address these issues, Auburn University Libraries developed a special FYE curriculum, featuring a menu of instruction options that range from library discovery tours in which student teams fill in blank library floor maps, to virtual discovery tours of the library’s homepage, to self-directed, point-of-need library tours available on Flickr and by podcast.en_US
